All of the most exciting activity in June takes place at the beginning of the month, when Belmont Park takes control. Even though the Met Mile is a significant event, the entire card is centered around the Belmont Stakes. The big horse races resume in New York in July at Belmont’s spectacular summer meet, which is held every year at the end of July.
