The big horse races resume in New York in July at Belmont’s spectacular summer meet, which is held every year at the end of July. The Haskell Stakes is the most important three-year-old event outside of the Triple Crown, and it is held in May. While the greatest turf horses are given the opportunity to shine, Chicago is given the opportunity to shine the most in August.
